What's Included with the Amended Return Service

Our Amended Return Service is designed for taxpayers who need to correct a previously filed federal or state tax return. Whether your original return contained errors, omitted income, missed tax credits or deductions, or was prepared incorrectly by another tax professional, we provide a comprehensive review and amendment process to ensure your return is corrected accurately.

Your service includes:

  • Comprehensive Return Review – We compare your originally filed return with your supporting tax documents to identify errors, omissions, and opportunities for correction.
  • Preparation of Amended Return(s) – Preparation of the required federal and/or state amended tax return(s) based on the corrections identified.
  • Explanation of Changes – A clear summary of the adjustments made and the reason each correction was necessary.
  • Document Review – Review of W-2s, Forms 1099, K-1s, tax transcripts, and other supporting documentation relevant to the amendment.
  • Tax Savings & Balance Analysis – Calculation of any additional refund, reduction of tax owed, or additional balance due resulting from the amendment.
  • Electronic Filing (When Available) – Submission of your amended return electronically when permitted by the IRS or state taxing authority. Returns that cannot be e-filed will be prepared with mailing instructions.
  • Client Review Meeting – Review of your amended return before filing to ensure you understand the changes and have an opportunity to ask questions.
  • Filing Instructions – If mailing is required, you will receive detailed instructions, mailing addresses, and guidance on signing and submitting your amended return.
  • Post-Filing Support – Assistance with general questions related to the amended return process and expected IRS or state processing timeframes.
